Preparing to archive documents (long term)
Wednesday 13 May 2009
Faced with the increasing size of their archives and the obligation for long-term storage of certain sensitive documents, laboratories are becoming interested in electronic archiving of documents and storing their paper documents under the best possible conditions. Context:
In anticipation of an imminent move, a major laboratory has taken the decision to speed up the long-term archiving of several dozen files (sponsorship files, marketing authorisations) and externalise the storage of the documents with a third-party archiving company. Objective:
Organisation of the task:

Resources applied:
Results:
Since the introduction of the team, quality processes have been revised and validated, a refined indexing methodology for the GED tool has been introduced, and the preparation of service-by-service archives is progressing well, thanks to good co-ordination between the service provider and the internal clients. The progress of the project is wholly consistent with the forecasts, and is meeting the client’s requirements. |
