Friday 01 October 2010 Business Breakfast in Paris: Can medical writing be used to reduce clinical development time ?

This business breakfast will be run by Dr. Julia Forjanic Klapproth Senior Partner at Trilogy
Writing & Consulting and Dr. Barry Drees
Senior Partner at Trilogy Writing & Consulting.

Everyone in the pharmaceutical industry is looking for ways to reduce the time needed for clinical development.

Although people tend to think that all of the easy things have already been done (such as running the different phases of studies in parallel), people tend to overlook the crucial role that medical writing plays in the process of planning, running, and reporting of clinical studies.
We propose that if the industry paid more attention to the process of writing and planning for all of the various documents needed during clinical development, a huge amount of time and money could be saved at all stages.
By sharing personal experience and different views on the needs of clinical programmes at the practical level, we will explore where we think there is room to optimize clinical development.

The goal for this discussion forum is to identify how key areas in the planning, writing, and coordinating of clinical documentation can reduce clinical development time and cost..
